Since 2018, I have been in charge of digital marketing strategies and operations for multiple large-scale sites, and have improved reporting and data analysis tasks.

Challenges

Creating reports took a lot of time, and it was difficult to compare with past data and grasp trends.

The set goals did not reflect specific actions and recent trends, making it difficult to evaluate the results.

Human errors due to manual input and inaccurate extraction of metrics often became a problem.

Actions

I developed an auto-updating dashboard in Google Sheets that can monitor various key KPIs in real time. This dashboard includes the following features:

  • A function that can immediately check the monthly KPI data for the past 24 months for each channel.
  • A performance report that can analyze the performance of each campaign in detail.
  • SEO performance data by keyword.
  • A function that can check the performance by page and product, site search, and NPS score.
  • A report that can instantly check the past 24 months of data for Google My Business.

I automated the report process, and set a time for the team to analyze data once a month and plan the next action based on the insights obtained.

Results

The time to create reports was significantly reduced.

Through a dashboard that anyone can easily check KPIs, it became possible to make quick decisions based on data.

It became possible to formulate specific strategies based on previous data, and to approach in a planned manner without relying on speculation.
